We are waiting for our facilitator to arive from Kiev to finish this part of the paperwork chase.
For those of you who have been here before is Gotcha Day the day you actually pick up the kids?

Congratulations on your adoption! Our Gotcha Day/Family Day is kind of a hybrid. July 26th is the day we got custody of our oldest son in '99, the day after court. It is also the date we got custody of our youngest two children, two days BEFORE court. (long story but essentially they were moving the kids out of the orphanage and just felt it would be better to give them to us right away, instead of having them move twice.) I don't know what we'll do for this child's Gotcha Day. It definitely won't be in July! I would recommend making it any day you want...the first day you met, court day or custody day. In the end it's all the same...it's the wonderful day that you became a family!
We do Gotcha Day as the court date as that is when we officially became mom and dad
